Cleaning

Posted by: laurane   in Little things in life, Ramblings

Life seems to revolve around cleaning.

We wake up, take a shower, brush teeth.

after breakfast, washing dishes.

Mum cleans the floor everyday. (since i’m home, sometimes that’ll be me. Sometimes. I’m guilty for being a lazy unhelpful daughter) Sometimes she just sweeps it, sometimes its vacuum and mop.

During this time, the washing machine is busy working away.

Then we have lunch and more cleaning needs to be done. Washing veges etc that needs to be washed before cooking, dishes after cooking, table after eating…

Then in the evening we have Another shower.

and before bed we’re washing our face and brushing our teeth again.

On top of that, every so often we will be cleaning off dust in the house, cleaning the windows, cleaning the bathroom and toilet, cleaning our cleaning equipment.

And we wash our hands countless times in a day.

What is up with human beings and having to be so Clean…??

My mum’s a bit of a clean freak too so I’ve done almost more cleaning in one month here than I’ve done in the entire year in Adelaide.

Ok kidding. That’s ridiculous. But you can kind of get what I mean…

maybe it’s some great CONSPIRACY by manufacturers of cleaning products… they’ve created this image that we must be clean clean clean all the darn time to reap in profits for all those toxic detergents and cleaning equipment….

nah actually i think it’s a combination of human psychology, modern culture, advances in biological knowledge. :D but interesting question…
